The Eastern Resource Centre (ERC) forms part of the Eastern Precinct Science Student Centre. Located on the east side of the campus (close to Grattan St & Swanston St) (Building 171), the Eastern Resource collections support the activities of undergraduates, postgraduates and researchers of the Faculty of Science and The Melbourne School of Engineering.

 The Architecture, Building and Planning Library is situated on the second floor of the Eastern Resource Centre (ERC.)

This library enriches the research activities of and supports the teaching of the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning. It is a significant resource for the Bachelor of Environments.

The East Asian Collection is located on the 2nd Floor of the ERC. The East Asian Collection focuses on collecting materials in Chinese and Japanese languages. The subject coverage of the collection is mainly in the areas of arts and humanities, social sciences and architectural history.
