Update - Research Collections, ERC
The Architecture, Building and Planning (ABP) building will be demolished in 2013 to make way for a new building. During the construction period, the ABP library collections, facilities and staff will be relocated to Level 2, Eastern Resource Centre (ERC). To accommodate the ABP Library, the Library proposes to relocate sections of the research collection relevant to science and engineering from Level 2 (and folios on Level 1) to Level 5 of the ERC, and integrate this material with the existing general collection. This will consolidate all science and engineering materials into one collection, improving opportunities to browse and making materials easier to find. Similarly, the plan includes moving some of the arts and humanities sections of the collection to the third floor of the Baillieu Library within the next few weeks.
The Education and Economics & Business components of the ‘B’ collections will also be moved to Giblin Eunson and interfiled by subject area. For more information, please visit the FAQ site for the project or contact your liaison librarian
